Tom Brady Gets Honest About His 'Outsider Mentality

The New England Patriots never thought they would take the best player – or at least the best pass rusher – in NFL history in the sixth round of the draft. For most of Tom Brady's life, no one had much expectation of him, at least when it came to playing the quarterback position. There is no one else but himself. In a recent interview, the legendary point guard shared his thoughts on self-confidence and his eternal outsider mentality (via Savage Sports).

Sunshine Boss Sarah Harden to Run Rebranded Candle Studios

Mayer detailed the company’s latest strategic plans in an interview with Semafor published Tuesday. The article did not detail the impact of the restructuring on the company’s workforce, including potential layoffs. In addition to the restructuring, Mayer said Candle is also undertaking a number of cost-efficiency initiatives in addition to the restructuring, including consolidating certain back-office functions. “We’re paying market value,” Mayer told the channel. “Are the financial results what we want them to be, that we should be paying the price we paid? Probably not.” But he said, “Talk to us in two or three years.” Two Hollywood strikes in 2023 also dealt a major blow to Candle. Mayer, who has experienced some peaks and valleys (though mostly peaks and valleys) during her tenure at Disney, isn’t sounding the alarm. “There are cycles in any company where you’re in a growth phase, you’re accumulating a little bit of overhead, but that’s OK,” Mayer says. “And then you hit a plateau where you look back at the bottom line and cut costs. That’s a very healthy thing to do.”

De Bruyne wasted What now for Belgium

Deschamps can enjoy victory (Jürgen Fromme – firo sportphoto/Getty Images) They are now on top of the game, with an unusual assertiveness in the final third. In some ways, they are facing the same difficulties as tournament favourites England. But unlike Gareth Southgate's side, it was their profligacy that caught the eye. Against Belgium, they managed 19 attempts, but few were on target. But while Deschamps is trying to find the right formula in the final third, there is one thing that can be encouraging for Les Bleus. Their control.

US to unblock bomb shipments to Israel

The United States has decided to release a shipment of 1,800 bombs to Israel, which was suspended several months ago due to fears of destruction in the Gaza city of Rafah, Axios reported on Thursday. US President Joe Biden's administration is ready to deliver a batch of the 500-pound (226 kg) bombs it held in April, according to unnamed US and Israeli officials who spoke to the news outlet. Then-US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin cited the fact that Israel did not heed the warning “It should not launch a major attack on Rafah without considering and protecting the civilian population on that battlefield.” Axios argues that the thaw means the US is now less worried about Israel using the bombs in Gaza as it seeks to repair ties with its key Middle East ally, which have been strained since the start of Israel's war with Hamas in October last year. The bombs are due to be delivered in two weeks, after the end of Israel's operation in Rafah.
